Announcement of a new artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for healthcare providers. This AI-powered platform helps healthcare providers reduce the administrative burden that often hampers patient care. It also automates repetitive administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, documentation, and patient verification.

Healthcare organisations often face challenges in scheduling difficulties, long wait times, and access barriers; these are their reasons for switching providers. AWS claims a system that automates and reduces repetitive tasks, allowing doctors and medical staff to focus on patients rather than on administrative work.

According to Towards Healthcare, the Connected Healthcare Platform Market is projected to experience significant growth, with estimates suggesting the market size will increase from USD 17.77 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 32.94 billion by 2035, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.1% from 2026 to 2035. The purpose of software programs is that it is capable of performing tasks on behalf of humans is to automate several routine processes in medical environments with respect to time-consuming activities.

A platform built for healthcare workflows

The system is designed in a way that it meets healthcare privacy standards and is eligible for HIPAA compliance (adhering to US laws that protect the privacy, security, and integrity of protected health information). It also integrates directly with electronic health record (EHR) systems, allowing medical staff to work with the tools that are already in use.

AWS platform is working alongside EHR software providers, data integration firms, and patient engagement companies. It works with existing clinician software to manage administrative workflows of healthcare providers.

Building trust through transparency

Building trust in health care requires an unwavering commitment to security, patient privacy, and data integrity. AWS provides the security and data privacy that healthcare organisations can rely on.

We built Amazon Connect Health on call evidence mapping, a feature that links every piece of AI-generated output back to its exact source, whether that's an ambient conversation transcript, a patient's medical records, or billing guidelines. This transparency supports faster, safer review; so clinicians can audit, refine, and finalise with confidence. It undergoes a multi-step evaluation of model performance for safety and accuracy.

UC San Diego Health said AWS has deployed the tool, has reported saving one minute per call, and reducing call abandonment rates by up to 60%.

A recent report by Towards Healthcare highlights that the Connected Healthcare Platform Market has AI agents within a platform built specifically to operate within healthcare regulatory requirements.
