Nearly 1,700 global business leaders, like Nvidia Corp. and CEO Jensen Huang, will gather for the APEC CEO summit in South Korea. It's a major business forum to be held on the sidelines of the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit, according to the sources.
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that they will host the APEC CEO Summit from October 28th to 31st in Gyeongju, which is located about 275 km southeast of Seoul. It will bring nearly 1,700 participants from APEC member economies, with leading global marketers.
The attendees list includes a highly popular and dominant force for semiconductor chips: NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang, Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman, Google’s Asia Pacific chief marketing officer Simon Kahn, Citigroup’s CEO Jane Fraser and Johnson & Johnson CEO Joaquin Duato, MD of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva and Mathias Cormann who are secretary general of the organization for economic development and cooperation, are all together in the attendees list.
The chair of KCCI, Chey Tae-Won, will preside over the whole event, hosting the first day reception and delivering a welcoming speech and greetings on the second day of the summit. In this entire four-day forum, every group of participants will offer solutions and discussion about a wide range of global problems, such as economic setbacks, geopolitical war/tensions and how to tackle them in terms of business expansion, ongoing digitalization and its upcoming effects on the world’s trade, strategies for the use of Artificial Intelligence along with future of digital currency and mobility with secure transactions and free from cyberattacks.
The APEC summit will be held at the same location where U.S. President, Donald Trump, and China's President Xi Jinping are anticipated to discuss increased trade tensions between these two leading nations. Amid this, it is an intense fact that the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO Summit has been a prime business event in the Asia Pacific for more than 30 years.
Thus, by continuing this long-held culture of the Asia Pacific, this year the summit will be held in South Korea from October 28th to 31st 2025, where 1,000 C-level executives will be expected to participate in and bring solutions to global problems together to make the world a better living place for everyone, along with thought leaders and representatives of various government's parties.
