JPFL Films Private Limited, which is part of Jindal Poly Films Ltd., has become the pioneer among all Indian packaging manufacturers to introduce Biaxially Oriented Polyamide (BOPA) Nylon films into the market. The 120 crore invested in this world-class BOPA plant facility in Nasik is a landmark step to develop and produce BOPA Nylon film in India according to the 'Make in India' program of the Indian government. It is also representative of the technological advancement, cost optimization, and product quality that JPFL Films is delivering while catering to the increasing demand for advanced packaging necessary today.
BOPA Nylon films have been launched by JPFL Films to impart the characteristics of advanced materials. They have better mechanical properties, high puncture resistance, and aroma barriers that come in handy for applications in the pharma, medical, FMCG, and food industries. With the introduction now, there will be no need for imports, thereby making advanced packaging solutions affordable and easily accessible to Indian businesses. BOPA Nylon Films are isotropic, having the same mechanical properties in all directions, thus giving them dimensional stability durability, and performance enhancement.
The Japanese exclusive double-bubble film manufacturing technology is adopted in their products, resulting in equivalent lengths and widths of films. Other remarkable qualities are fast printing, excellent puncture resistance, good aroma, and gas barrier properties, and enhanced mechanical characteristics, making them very suitable for flexible packaging applications.
Indeed, BOPA Nylon Films will impact many industries, such as pharmaceutical, food, FMCG, and medical industries; providing strong packaging solutions to preserve the integrity of medicines and medical devices, ensure product freshness and shelf life, assist in high-speed production, and facilitate safe and sterile storage of medical products. JPFL Films is drawing on the experience of its Italian group company, Jindal Nylon Films, to customize requirements for Indian customers, incorporating international quality standards into locally manufactured packaging solutions. In highlighting the significance of this global collaboration, Dr. Gopalasamudram said the knowledge transfer and the expertise will help immanently in providing world-class solutions to Indian customers.
JPFL Films, India produces BOPA films that offer certain advantages to Indian businesses since they were earlier imported at high costs and long delivery times. The cost of imports and logistics has now been eliminated due to domestic production, and faster deliveries are enabled with more customization. BOPA Nylon films help the environment by reducing carbon emissions and providing eco-friendly packaging solutions. On top of that, local production enables recyclability, which further enhances the benefits of these films.
With the launch of BOPA Nylon Films in India, JPFL Films has opened a new chapter in the history of packing in India. With a focus on R&D and innovation, the company strives to broaden its product offerings and focus on modern packaging solutions. The advent of the first-ever BOPA Nylon films produced in India consolidates India's positioning in the global packaging business and supports the country's dream of self-reliance in manufacturing. BOPA nylon films act as inexpensive yet high-performing solutions to several industries paving the way for the future of India in flexible packaging.
