On October 12, 2026, Cvent announced the opening of the Cvent Center for Event Insights, a new research and thought leadership initiative aimed at enriching the events, hospitality, and technology industries. The center is aimed at providing original research, industry analysis, actionable suggestions, and expert views which will serve as a guide for event organizers, marketers, and hospitality professionals in the age of AI. In particular, the project will relate to improving event deliverability, discovering the best applications of artificial intelligence in the field, and increasing the importance of face-to-face interactions in the current business climate of digitalization. Cvent has stated that their more than 25 years’ experience in the industry and nearly 10 million events run give a solid basis for the project operations.

The launch has two main reports that explore the use of AI in events. The first report is called Event Performance Landscape in the Age of AI. It was commissioned by Cvent and was done by Forrester Consulting. In this report, we learn how organizations leverage events to enhance their growth, obtain information from data generated by their events, and also prepare for the time when AI will be used for interaction with clients. The results of the report indicate that 70% of the surveyed participants believe that events become more and more important due to the ever-growing usage of AI in communication.

The survey also revealed that 59% of businesses use AI to create content for events but only 26% of them sees great results from it.

At first glance, PIE puts a light on the gap between AI adoption and some tangible business results. In spite of the great number of organizations implementing AI for content generation and event-related activities, the challenge of having the results from these activities stays. Through its research and industry collaboration, the center aims to provide practical guidance for improving AI implementation and identifying where human expertise remains essential to successful events.

Impact on the Event Management Market

Cvent's establishment of the Center for Event Insight indicates that event management is becoming more reliant on data. That is, event organizers now have to show that their conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings, and other events add value in terms of enhancing audience engagement, generating leads, and improving business performance. The center wants to help managers through research and recommendations, learning how to measure the results of events and make better planning decisions.

The emerging trend shows that organizations are more interested in measuring the outcomes of events rather than just watching the number of people attending. They increasingly need to have ways to link the activities of events to business objectives, measure attendee activity, and enhance the level of engagement after the event.

Impact on the Hospitality and Event Technology Market

The recent innovation underlines the significance of technology in connecting event planners, places of events, providers of hospitality services, and participants of the events. Due to increased data utilization in event planning, organizations need complex solutions that enable registration, finding a venue, participating in the event, customizing events, and managing consequences. It has been established that industry studies and knowledge sharing allow stakeholders to identify issues connected to business processes and new technology implementations.

The center’s aim to cooperate with professionals can lead to the creation of more practical solutions for the industry. Hospitality companies and suppliers of event technology can acquire new knowledge about provision of services, perceptions of events by their attendees, and adjustment of meeting attendance to the business goals of the companies.
