Renowned tech giants, Google and Amazon, have collaboratively developed and launched a multicloud networking service to fulfill the increasing demand for reliable connectivity, as per the company’s statement. This is a time when a short period of internet disconnection may have a huge negative impact on companies and their work.

Multicloud Service

This launch would be revolutionary as it will allow consumers to establish highly reliable, private, and high-speed links between two companies and their computing platforms in a short period instead of taking weeks. This service was launched after an outage observed by AWS on 20th October that had disrupted thousands of services and websites across the globe and affected most popular internet apps like Snapchat and Reddit. According to the analytics firm Parametrix, this outage will cost U.S. companies between $500 million to $650 million in losses.

This new launch combines AWS interconnect-multicloud with Google Cloud’s cross-cloud internet, aiming to enhance interoperability. Vice president of network services at AWS, Mr. Robert Kennedy said, “This collaboration between AWS and Google Cloud represents a fundamental shift in multicloud connectivity.”
Salesforce is one of the early users of this new service, as per the Google Cloud statement. After leading providers of cloud services like Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, AWS is now offering computing power, data storage and various digital services to enterprises, governments and startups or individuals seeking it.
Leading tech companies like Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon are investing heavily to develop infrastructure that can support hugely increasing internet traffic along with the surging demand for artificial intelligence to meet the increasing computing power due to AI usage.

According to reliable sources, this new cloud business launched by Amazon witnessed robust growth in the third quarter by generating a massive $33 billion in revenue, which is twice that of Google's revenue, $15.16 billion.

This new service aims to offer robust cloud services for various enterprises and reduce the possibility of internet outages that cause huge losses for companies worldwide, showcasing technological safeguarding and evolution that will change the various company’s working patterns forever.
