SAS, the worldwide leader in data and Artificial Intelligence, has introduced one of the newest innovations, the SAS Health Cost of Care Analytics to provide healthcare payers and providers with superior cost and quality decision-making capabilities. The solution, which will be available by July 2025, uses health claims data to build and analyze episodes of care, utilizing more data and allowing organizations to better understand the entire patient care journey, including detection and treatment, to ongoing care.

The solution is based on the powerful SAS Viya platform, allowing users to discover affordable treatment pathways, prevent unnecessary stays, lower hospital stay times, and manage them. The company is demonstrating this new product at AHIP 2025, the annual meeting of the national health insurance trade group. At the SAS booth, visitors can experience live demos to discover real-time insights and connect with experts on the products. SAS Health Cost of Care Analytics adds greater tools to address complicated healthcare problems through medication adherence, medical record analysis, reimbursement models, risk management, and cost of care.

It simplifies data processing with validation and consumption into the SAS Health data model, allowing precise, effective data mining to produce better results and smarter decisions within the healthcare ecosystem. In addition to the Health Cost of Care Analytics solution, SAS introduced a set of highly sophisticated AI models: SAS Medication Adherence Risk, SAS Document Analysis, and SAS Payment Integrity for healthcare detection and prevention.
