ARB IOT Group Limited, an emerging integrated Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider, launched its much-anticipated Smart AI Drone, an AI-assisted plantation mapping system through drone technology. It is intended to revolutionize plantation management for greater efficiency, more crop yield, and sustainable agricultural practices. This announcement comes almost immediately after ARBB gave over a 165% price return in the last six-month period, as per InvestingPro.
The Smart AI Drone is an advanced invention that integrates cutting-edge imaging, AI, and real-time data analytics. The system's features allow precision mapping, crop health monitoring, pest detection, and automated spraying. This entire set of capabilities allows farmers and plantation owners to make data-driven decisions that optimize resource use and productivity. "We empower farmers with smart solutions that increase yield while promoting sustainable farming practices. By enabling plantations with drone technology to make data-driven decisions that optimize resources and improve overall productivity," said Dato' Sri Liew Kok Leong, CEO of ARB IOT.
The Smart AI Drone is enhanced by high-quality aerial imaging and artificial intelligence analytics early in detecting diseases, deficiency of nutrients, as well as irrigation needs for a more precise approach to plantation management without adversely affecting the environment in terms of overuse of pesticides and fertilizers and water. Highly specific to plantations and large commercial farms in Malaysia, the drone is a very convenient and affordable solution for agricultural enterprises in the locality where it is used. ARB IOT aims for further efficiency and sustainability at a larger scale by promoting the adoption of this innovation by all of its customers.
In recent developments, ARB IOT started a strategic partnership with Whizzl Sdn Bhd to make its Smart IoT Palm Farming System sold into Sabah and Sarawak regions across Malaysia. This partnership appoints Whizzl as the sole seller, distributor, and integrator of the technology, aiming to improve agricultural efficiency and productivity. ARB IoT also landed a contract for the management of an additional 3,000 acres of palm oil plantations in Sabah. This is expected to yield around USD 20 million as additional yearly recurring revenue. A similar contract will be executed, where ARB IOT's subsidiary will manage another 2,000 acres of palm oil plantation, increasing potential revenue by USD 13 million a year.
With utmost determination toward agricultural innovations, ARB IOT has recently launched an AI-based fertilizer system to optimize the application processes of fertilizers. The focus of the system, operating in tandem with an intelligent agricultural robot, lies in augmenting crop yields with precision farming while ensuring sustainability in agriculture. ARB IOT has also broadened its AI hardware distribution network in East Malaysia through its partnership with Whizzl to market its AI workstations and servers. The recent development is in line with the digital innovation drive brought forth by the Malaysian government, in tandem with increasing demand for AI technologies in the agriculture sector.
ARB IOT Group Limited has become a leader in integrating IoT and AI technologies in agriculture through the launch of its Smart AI Drone and diversification into smart farming systems. It is well-positioned to advocate sustainable farming practices and increase productivity across large-scale plantations. With a valuation of only 0.32 times book value, ARBB is an attractive investment for value-conscious investors. As demand rises for AI-powered solutions, ARB IOT's commitment to innovation is expected to enable substantial growth in the agriculture technology space.
