New Masterbatches Strengthen Polymer Innovation

In February 2026, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a part of Cosmo First Limited, introduced a new range of advanced masterbatches to expand its specialty chemicals business. The company said that this new product portfolio has been developed to meet the changing requirements of the polymer and packaging industries, as per the published report. The launch includes two product families, CosmoWhite and CosmoAdd, with each offering solutions for different manufacturing applications.

Furthermore, CosmoWhite is a range of white masterbatches designed for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) materials. According to the company, these products contain a high level of titanium dioxide (TiOâ‚‚), which helps improve the whiteness and opacity of plastic products.  Also, the company stated that the masterbatches provide better UV resistance and thermal stability. 

Moreover, the company also launched CosmoAdd, a new portfolio of additive masterbatches created to improve the processing and performance of plastic products. As per the company, this range supports flexible packaging applications such as BOPP, CPP, and blown films. The portfolio includes different additive solutions like cavitating agents, antiblock additives, antistatic additives, slip additives, polymer processing aids, antioxidants, clarifiers, matt compounds, and products designed for synthetic paper applications. 

According to Towards Chem and Materials, the specialty polymers market size accounted for USD 113.06 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 121.97 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 241.39 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 7.88% from 2026 to 2035, due to increasing demand for plastic products in major industries in recent years. 

Also, according to the company, these new products have been developed to improve both the functionality and appearance of polymer-based products while offering reliable performance across different packaging and industrial applications.
