Aetna, a CVS Health company, announced Aetna Care Paths, an innovative digital toolkit that will revolutionize member experiences and healthcare accessibility, marking a significant advancement. The latest offering, available using the Aetna Health app, utilizes artificial intelligence and patent-pending technology to provide the members with proactive recommendations about where to go to seek care, customized to each member.
Aetna Care Paths is a component of a larger, multi-year, USD 20 billion digital transformation element of the company that is designed to develop smart, supportive, and easy-to-use healthcare tools. Care Paths are not like the traditional insurance tools of today, highlighting the transaction of the process, such as billing and approvals. Furthermore, it instead focuses more on the holistic approach and member-centric approach to healthcare. It allows people with certain conditions to learn more about their advantages, obtain customized programs of wellness programs, and have the support of care teams at every level of treatment or recovery.
Intelligent application of AIs to give real-time condition-specific knowledge and recommendations, which enable users to make better choices regarding their care. This aspect makes Aetna Care Paths stand out further, providing at-home care kits where a member can monitor their condition. The Care Paths experience is individualized to every user and offers a significant experience than generic and standard one-size-fits-all solutions. Furthermore, the Aetna Health app transforms into a health care companion, efficient, intelligent, and highly personalized, rather than relying on members to figure out what they should do on their own based on thick documents or spend hours organizing care with many point providers.
