Amazon Connect Health is specifically designed to handle workloads of administration. It integrates with the electronic health records and clinicians can use it for patient verification, appointment management and medical history reviews along with the clinical documentation, medical coding while keeping humans in the backend at every steps. This platform is available 24/7, fluent in natural language understanding, easy to interact with and can book appointments quickly without needing to wait or leave voicemail and wait for response instead.

According to Precedence Research, the AI in Patient Management market size accounted for USD 3.85 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 4.99 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 51.15 billion by 20345 expanding at a CAGR of 29.52% from 2026 to 2035  due to the increasing digitalization across healthcare and initiatives by leading health tech players with innovative launches.

Amazon Connect health combines the power of connect AWS’s AI-driven consumer experience solution with real-time integration with the EHR. If request was explicitly raised for human touch by patients, then it escalates seamlessly to the medical staff allocated for it. Teh customization in the health system is possible which decides when and how that hand-off must occur. It results into lesser ignored calls, more patient centric approach to resolve issues that can handled by humans only and other repetitive tasks can be forwarded to the platform launched by AWS. Promising results are emerging from health systems that have started to deploy capabilities and features offered by Amazon health connect. For example, UC San Diego health that handles nearly 3.2 million patients' interactions yearly is already witnessing a difference where they are saving 1 minute per call and redirecting 630 hours weekly from patient verification to direct patient access and assistance while reducing the call abandonment rates by 30% and maximum up to 60% in some of the major departments. Amazon health connect not only assists in the work scheduling, but it's also works alongside healthcare providers each step as an obedient assistant.

A recent report by Precedence Research highlights that the AI in patient management market is benefiting from rising investments in AI assisted healthcare platform development and staff’s willingness to leverage it fully and focus on patients' health and recovery as early as possible.
