At NAMM 2026, Behringer unveiled the JT-2, a novel analog synthesizer drawing inspiration from a single voice of the iconic Roland Jupiter-8. Additionally, the company presented various devices that had been under development for an extended period, with the JT-2 now officially progressing towards retail availability.

Paraphonic Analog Synthesizer

According to Precedence Research, the Sequencers and Synthesizers Market was valued at USD 1.30 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow from USD 1.40 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 2.70 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 7.60% from 2026 to 2035, driven by increasing music live concert culture and technological advancement.

Technical Highlights

  • This monophonic synthesizer is equipped with two oscillators and authentically recreates the original Jupiter-8 circuitry.
  • It features a pure analog signal path, utilizing genuine VCO, VCF, and VCA designs. With dual oscillators, the synthesizer offers a range of waveforms, such as saw, triangle/sine, square, noise, PWM, oscillator sync, and FM capabilities.
  • Users can take advantage of LFO and envelope control for both VCO 1 and VCO 2, allowing for intricate sound shaping through FM cross-modulation or oscillator sync. A switchable 12 dB/24 dB resonant low-pass filter delivers classic synthesizer tones.
  • An additional high-pass filter provides enhanced flexibility and fine-tuning options. The LFO modes include sine, saw, square, and random, facilitating a variety of modulation effects.
  • Two analog ADSR envelope generators with key follow enable modulation of VCOs, VCF, and VCA. The built-in arpeggiator offers patterns such as Up, Down, Up-Down, and Random, with a range extending up to four octaves.

The paraphonic mode allows for two-note performances and features a 16-voice Poly Chain capability, enabling the combination of multiple units for expanded polyphony. This synthesizer is compatible with Eurorack systems and includes 53 hands-on controls for direct, real-time access to essential parameters. Additionally, external CV and Gate inputs enhance connectivity, while comprehensive MIDI implementation allows for MIDI channel and Voice Priority selection.

A recent report by Precedence Research highlights that the Sequencers and Synthesizers Market is benefiting from the rising adoption of analog synthesizers.
