Chryso Introduces Adfil Strux 3000 Series Synthetic Fibers for Concrete Reinforcement

Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals brand Chryso introduced the Adfil Strux 3000 Series. This new line of macro synthetic fibers provides consistent 3D reinforcement for various concrete projects, such as precast elements, tunnel linings, elevated decks, and slab-on-ground applications.

Key Features & Advancements

The 3000 Series introduces several logistical and performance improvements over previous generations. The new Adfil Strux 3000 series introduces Adfil Strux 3040 and Adfil Strux 3032 macro-synthetic fibers, featuring a flat-packed "puck" design that boosts storage by 3x, enhances transport, and ensures corrosion-free, easy handling. Designed to be "finisher-friendly," these fibers blend seamlessly into the concrete matrix, resulting in smoother surfaces with minimal visible fiber protrusion. The Adfil®Strux 3000 Series streamlines construction by replacing traditional wire mesh and light rebar, significantly reducing labor needs and improving jobsite safety while ensuring superior structural durability.

According to Towards Chemical & Materials, the synthetic fibers market size accounted for USD 92.85 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 98.19 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 162.4 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 5.75% from 2026 to 2035 as consumer demand for durable and cost-effective products is rapidly increasing globally.

Growing Textile & Apparel Demand Accelerates the Synthetic Fibers Market

  • Increasing disposable incomes and changing fashion trends have substantially fuelled the demand for synthetic fibers in clothing and home textiles.
  • Advancements in fiber technology have facilitated the development of functional textiles that provide specialized properties like anti-bacterial features and UV protection.
  • The growing demand for lightweight vehicles, particularly electric vehicles, has fuelled the demand for synthetic fibers in various components.
  • The ongoing expansion of online retail has surged the demand for apparel that needs durability during shipping, leading to market growth soon.
