In July 2026, Cognizant introduced the EMEA AI Unit, which is an organization specifically made for enterprises in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to help them transition their AI plans to commercial adoption. This initiative aligns with the company’s AI Builder Strategy, and the organization consists of consulting, engineering, and delivery experts. It is intended to help clients develop, implement, and run agentic AI platforms.

The highlight of this launch is the company’s Frontier Deployed Engineering tool, which helps enterprises keep pilot projects and real-world implementation in sync. This tool includes 3 service models, namely:

  • Foundation: It helps firms to make strategy, administration, and technology choices and pilot models.
  • Accelerate: It concentrates on fast-paced detection, development, and implementation of valuable use cases in production.
  • Transform: It aids in transformation at a larger scale using multi-agent execution teams that assist in changing the design of the workflow and automating it.

These models help companies to devise strategies and administer AI models, as well as commercial implementation and comprehensive workflow transformation. The company is assisting one of the prominent European digital fashion retailers to advance tested AI applications from the pilot stage to actual deployment. This will help them reduce the development timeline significantly and adopt agentic automation in supply chain, inventory, returns, customer experience, and profit protection.

According to Manoj Mehta, the President EMEA at Cognizant, said that in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, various organizations want to automate their workflows by the usage of AI models but do not have concrete plans for its execution. The EMEA AI unit is based on the AI Builder Strategy of Cognizant, which provides businesses with the skill force and platforms required to deploy automation platforms.

Impact on the AI Industry

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the EMEA AI Unit is expected to positively impact the AI industry due to the fact that it helps enterprises implement AI in their routine workflows. This helps to boost the adoption of AI technologies globally across various organizations. It is expected to boost the revenue of AI model development companies due to growing adoption.

Such development also helps them receive more analytical data and client feedback about the performance of the automation models in real-world deployment. This helps them make improvements in future updates of their current models as well as develop models that perform better in market execution across various parameters.

Impact on the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) Market

The global enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market size is estimated at USD 20.93 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to reach around USD 592.51 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 39.70% between 2026 and 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) market is expected to benefit from the introduction of the EMEA AI Unit as it helps businesses transition their automation projects from pilot stage to actual deployment. This helps them automate various arduous and repetitive tasks to facilitate excellent accuracy and speed.

It also helps businesses to reduce the workload on their employees so that they can dedicate more time to innovative and strategic tasks. Such an initiative would help enterprises to deliver projects in relatively less time as compared to manual processing. The consistency of repetitive tasks also increases as AI can repeat the same logic a huge number of times with minimal deviations.

Impact on the Cloud Computing Market

The global cloud computing market size was estimated at USD 912.77 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 1,106.28 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 5,946.84 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 20.61% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the EMEA AI Unit by Cognizant is expected to positively impact the cloud computing market owing to the fact that it helps businesses actually deploy the automation tools in routine workflows. This results in the production of a massive amount of data by the AI models, which needs to be stored on cloud servers.

The continuous functioning of AI models also requires significant computing power, for which companies use cloud computing facilities. This is because most of the enterprises do not have their own extensive data storage and computing infrastructure in-house. Deployment on cloud facilities also helps them easily scale their operations and use the latest processing technologies.
