Impact on the Medical Imaging Market
The global medical imaging market size is calculated at USD 52.09 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 54.70 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 84.07 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 4.90% from 2026 to 2035.
According to Precedence Research, the rise in the number of chronic diseases among people has also helped the market to show considerable growth during the forecast period. As a result of these repeated follow-ups are required, along with multiple imaging tests, which help to predict a prognosis for the case. This helps the medical expert to have a clear picture regarding the line of treatment to be followed and the possibilities of cure. Thus, the reliability of treatment increases and helps the patient to have faith in the health care sector.
The medical imaging market is further being driven by the increasing prevalence of long-term diseases, a worldwide aging population, and the rising incorporation of modern technologies. The advancement and adoption of modern imaging technologies, involving AI and cloud-driven systems, are improving diagnostic precision and effectiveness. Major investors include large institutional investment organizations, venture capital (VC) companies specializing in medical care and deep tech, and the large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) themselves, who spend on R&D and major acquisitions.
Impact on the Medical Equipment Maintenance Market
The global medical equipment maintenance market size is calculated at USD 63.50 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 70.29 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 169.42 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 10.31% from 2026 to 2035.
According to Precedence Research, the rising prevalence of diseases leading to higher diagnostic rates and rising demand for refurbished medical equipment are the primary factors leading to the growth of the medical equipment maintenance market. The rapidly growing medical equipment industries in developed regions are significantly boosting the demand for medical equipment maintenance.
AI is also further helping to revolutionize the upkeep of medical devices by applying predictive maintenance, downtime reduction, and breakdown prevention through real-time IoT data analytics. Early fault detection via machine learning algorithms boosts safety and prolongs asset life. It raises the level of efficiency by means of automation, support from virtual technicians, and data-driven decision-making in asset planning. Digital twins are also being used to mimic device behavior for advanced diagnostics, thus helping healthcare facilities to improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure the availability of equipment.
