Daikin Strengthens India Chemical Market Position

Daikin Industries is launching a new company called Daikin Chemical India Private Limited. Also, this new unit is located in Gurugram, Haryana, and is mainly focused on handling sales, marketing, and technical support for fluorochemical products. This move clearly shows that the company is serious about strengthening its presence in India’s growing chemical market.

The main role of this new company is to support customers in India by providing better services and technical assistance. By having a local presence, a company can understand customer needs more closely and respond faster. The company also aims to improve its marketing activities and build stronger relationships with local industries. This step is expected to help Daikin grow its business while offering better support to Indian customers.

Also, India is becoming an important market because of its strong focus on industrial growth. Government initiatives like Make in India are encouraging companies to manufacture locally and build stronger supply chains. Moreover, this is increasing the demand for high-quality materials, especially fluorochemicals, which are used in industries such as semiconductors, batteries, information technology, and air conditioning systems.

According to Towards Chem&Materials, the fluorochemicals market size accounted for USD 32.75 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 34.99 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 63.53 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.85% from 2026 to 2035, due to the greater shift towards industrialisation.

The company is also considering the possibility of local production in India. Moreover, the company will carefully observe market demand and continue to improve its operations based on future needs. At the same time, it is working to create a stable supply system for refrigerants, which are important for its air conditioning business.
