To improve insured workers and their families digital access to healthcare services throughout India, the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released an updated version of its mobile application, now known as ESIC Health Connect. In order to provide a more seamless and user-friendly experience, the new app has replaced the previous AAA+ app. This project is a component of ESIC's continuous digital transformation strategy, which aims to use technology to improve the way social security and medical benefits are delivered.

ESIC OPD Appointment Mobile App

The ability to schedule change or cancel OPD appointments at ESIC hospitals and dispensaries using a smartphone is one of the main features of the updated app. Those who are insured can schedule visits by logging in with their employee or insurance number and registered mobile number. Users receive a booking reference via SMS after their appointment is confirmed, which they can show at the medical facility to expedite service. It is anticipated that this digital appointment system will greatly cut down on waiting times and improve beneficiary convenience throughout the process.

Beyond making appointments, the ESIC Health Connect app unifies a number of crucial services into a single online platform. In addition to viewing their electronic health records and completing Aadhaar seeding, users can request the collection of a home sample for diagnostic testing. Additionally, a feedback mechanism in the application enables beneficiaries to voice concerns or share their experiences, assisting ESIC in continuously enhancing the quality of its services. The app supports both Hindi and English to ensure greater accessibility, which makes it simpler for users from various geographical locations to use the system.

ESIC is aggressively encouraging the use of the new app by insured members and pensioners through outreach programs, health camps, and awareness campaigns. ESIC, a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, offers qualified workers financial benefits and comprehensive medical care. In line with India's larger movement toward digital public services, the company hopes to improve accessibility, efficiency and transparency in healthcare delivery by updating its digital infrastructure with the Health Connect app.
