In September 2026, Flamingo announced it raised USD $4.5 million in seed funding led by Vertex Ventures, increasing its total funding to USD $6.7 million. The company offers OpenFrame, a platform designed for managed service providers (MSPs) that manage IT and security systems for businesses without extensive in-house teams.

The new funds will help convert beta users and those on the waiting list into paying customers, expand the go-to-market team, and develop future versions of the product. Founded by Michael Assraf, Flamingo addresses a longstanding cost challenge in IT operations, that businesses often pay for multiple software tools and separately manage staffing costs, while service providers face pressure to maintain service levels without excessive staffing or subscriptions. OpenFrame integrates IT and security tools with AI agents into one system, consolidating 19 product categories into a single API and data layer. Modules include remote monitoring, management, mobile device management, automation, remote access, patching, security, and ticketing.

The platform features two AI agents: Fae, which handles user-facing tasks like password resets and software requests, and Mingo, which supports technicians with activities such as backups, policy setup, routine scripting, and incident response. Flamingo claims its AI agents handle repetitive tasks to enable teams to support more devices, users, and projects within the same time, while keeping tool costs low. The company initially focused on MSPs because each serves multiple businesses, allowing a single deployment to reach several organizations. In-house IT and security teams can also use the platform.

Impact on the ICT Market

Flamingo's platform, OpenFrame, has two components: a tooling stack built on open-source foundations, and AI agents intended to carry out tasks across it. OpenFrame Core also consolidates 19 IT and security product categories into a single API and data layer. Its first generation covers areas of remote monitoring and management (RMM), mobile device management (MDM), monitoring, automation, remote access, patch management, security monitoring, and ticketing.

OpenFrame Agentic MSP, which runs on top of Core, includes two AI agents. Fae handles end-user requests such as password resets, machine performance issues, and software requests, while Mingo operates at the technician and fleet level on tasks including backups, policy configuration, routine scripts, and incident response. The platform is priced at $1 per device per month, which includes 10 million AI tokens, or $0.80 per device with 25 million tokens on annual billing.

Impact on the Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations Platform Market

The global artificial intelligence for IT operations platform market size accounted for USD 17.43 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 20.55 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 87.53 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 17.51% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the market for artificial intelligence operations platforms is being driven by reasons including the rising connection in IT operations, the growing need for image recognition systems, and increased data expansion. A possibility is presented by the procurement of cutting-edge technology by expanding big market corporations. Artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) usage is also expanding as systems grow more complex as a result of rising data volume and device intelligence. The increased global use of cloud computing is also encouraging the automation of these processes. As more businesses move to the cloud, it is predicted that the need for artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) solutions will rise.

With the rapid proliferation of technology and the adoption of cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, and distributed systems, IT infrastructures have become more complex and dynamic. AIOps platforms help organizations manage this complexity by providing real-time insights, automation, and predictive analytics to optimize IT operations. In addition, the explosion of data generated by various applications, devices, and systems has created a need for advanced analytics solutions. AIOps platforms are capable of ingesting and analyzing large volumes of data from diverse sources, enabling organizations to gain valuable insights and make data-driven decisions. Thus, this is expected to drive market growth over the forecast period.

Impact on the Artificial Intelligence Software Market

The global artificial intelligence (AI) software market size was calculated at USD 257.37 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 316.50 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 1,640.51 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 20.35% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the market growth is driven by high demand for automation through intelligence, investment in AI technologies, and rising implementation of advanced software solutions in industries such as healthcare, BFSI, retail, manufacturing, and IT. The advent of agentic AI, multimodal AI models, and AI copilots is expected to accelerate the market growth rate globally.

Artificial intelligence (AI) also plays a transformative role in modern software solutions by enabling systems to move beyond traditional rule-based operations toward intelligent automation, predictive decision-making, and adaptive learning. AI-powered software integrates technologies such as machine learning (ML), deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and generative AI, helping to automate complex tasks, analyze large volumes of data, and improve overall operational efficiency across various industries.

Expert Opinion

"As IT becomes a key enabler of AI adoption, the stack itself has to evolve. We believe the market is moving from fragmented software tools to a model where the service and the task become the product. By combining open infrastructure that reduces software costs with agents that take on the operating work, Flamingo can fundamentally change the economics of IT. The traction Flamingo is already seeing, together with the enthusiasm from the people running IT day to day, is strong validation that the market is ready for this shift. Michael and the team combine a bold vision for where IT is going with a deep understanding of how it actually operates," said Tami Bronner, General Partner at Vertex Ventures.
