Groww Foundation Supports 35 IIT Bombay Innovators Through INV.ENT Programme
Groww Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Groww, has announced the first cohort of its INV.ENT programme, supporting 19 innovation projects by 35 students from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The initiative aims to support young innovators in transforming early-stage ideas into viable services via financial support, mentorship and infrastructure.
The selected projects were chosen from nearly 400 submissions in the disciplines and include innovations in regions like climate technology, healthcare, agri-tech, robotics, defence, assistive technology, education, retail and artificial intelligence. Among the selected ideas are a marketplace for pottery crafted by Dharavi artisans, a wearable tool for physiotherapy guidance, a platform that converts carbon dioxide into edible protein, and an AI-driven counter-drone technology for significant infrastructure protection.
The first cohort is divided into two tracks. Three student teams have been selected as the opening Grand Task Fellows, making them eligible for milestone-driven funding of up to â¹25 lakh yearly. The remaining 16 teams have been inducted into the Proof of Concept (POC) Support Track, every receiving a grant of â¹30,000.
In addition to economic support, participants will receive mentorship and acceptance to the innovative, established 15,000 sq. ft. Groww Innovation Space at IIT Bombay's Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE). The facility is designed to support students in developing prototypes, validating standards, and engaging with significant customers.

Based on Groww Foundation, the programme's goal is to support more than 100 student teams yearly, offering early-stage funding and mentorship to encourage novelty and entrepreneurship.
