In August 2026, Healthify, which is India’s leading AI-powered health and wellness platform, and Berry Street, the leading nutrition care company, recently announced they have merged, creating the most advanced insurance-covered AI metabolic health platform in the U.S.

The combined company will be led by Noah Kotlove and Tushar Vashisht as Co-CEOs. In the US, the company will continue to operate under the Berry Street brand. Outside the U.S., including in India and other markets where Healthify has established a strong consumer presence, the Healthify brand will remain. By combining forces, the two companies will be better able to deliver expert metabolic care that’s AI-powered, clinician-backed, and covered by insurance in the US.

Healthify’s platform, recognized by OpenAI for its innovative approach, has been honed on hundreds of millions of real dietitian-to-patient interactions, enabling it to synthesize signals across nutrition, sleep, stress, and weight in real time. As a market leader in India, Healthify has served more than 45 million users across more than 20 cultures, and its GLP-1 weight management initiative, which includes a patient support program with Novo Nordisk, is Healthify’s fastest-growing offering.

Healthify’s AI platform, Ria, is among the most validated consumer nutrition AI products. A peer-reviewed study published with Stanford Medical School, the first paper to examine AI-only metabolic health outcomes, demonstrated measurable improvements in weight and metabolic markers among Ria users. Ria’s capabilities are multimodal and multilingual, with patented food-logging technology that can track nutrition from a photograph in under one second, without the user ever opening the app.

Healthify, Berry Street

Impact on the Healthcare Market

Berry Street delivers personalized, evidence-based metabolic care, including prescribing GLP-1s when appropriate through its nationwide network of 2,000-plus clinicians. In most cases, this care is covered by insurance, so people pay little or nothing out of pocket. Berry Street is among the first cohort of CMS’s groundbreaking ACCESS model and has served more than 200,000 patients across all 50 states through collaborations with Amazon, Walmart, and other leading health plans and consumer platforms.

Berry Street patients meet synchronously with a care team of registered dietitians, doctors, and nurse practitioners for GLP-1 management and ongoing nutrition therapy. Between visits, patients can use the Berry Street app for AI-powered guidance, meal tracking, and integration of health data from wearables and lab results. Berry Street also supports more than 30 conditions, ranging from weight loss and diabetes to women’s health and heart health.

Impact on the Healthcare Informatics Market

The global healthcare informatics market size is calculated at USD 46.74 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 52.48 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 138.09 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 11.44% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the lengthy record management in the healthcare space expands the market footprint with compliance and proper patient care promotion. Clinical and public health records are accelerating with the growing patient admissions that eventually generate data for the knowledge of the providers and the regulatory body. AI is employed in the form of tools that keep an eye on patients from afar, thus securing better treatment compliance and involvement. Along with heavy data automation, forecasted insights also have a good impact on operations by making them more efficient, leading to better clinical outcomes, workflow optimization, and accessible digital healthcare delivery.

The rising investments in research and development by the biopharmaceutical industry also result in the growing need for data storage. Therefore, increasing demand from the biotechnology and pharma companies to store and manage huge volumes of data is boosting the growth of the global healthcare informatics market. Healthcare informatics can help in the early detection of chronic diseases related to the kidneys, cardiovascular muscles, and several others.

Impact on the AI In Healthcare Governance and Safety Market

The global AI in healthcare governance and safety market size accounted for USD 2.40 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 2.96 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 19.65 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 23.40% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the market growth is attributed to the increasing adoption of AI-powered governance platforms for improving patient safety, operational transparency, and real-time healthcare risk management. Healthcare providers increasingly adopt governance platforms, explainable AI tools, and compliance monitoring systems across clinical environments. These technologies support hospitals' monitoring of algorithm behavior, identification of bias, patient data security, and regulatory compliance.

Growing adoption of intelligent governance ecosystems is further helping to accelerate automated healthcare oversight and improve institutional risk management efficiency. Expanding digital healthcare infrastructure is fueling the adoption of AI-based threat detection and compliance protection solutions across hospitals. AI safe zones are also increasingly being adopted by hospitals, and these are settings in which the use of approved healthcare AI solutions is being tested in a safe environment. These settings enhance compliance readiness, mitigate shadow AI risks, and heighten implementation of enterprise-wide governance across health care systems.
