In July 2026, IBS Group launched Naviq Technology, an AI-first venture dedicated to the global travel industry. The company is investing USD 500 million into the subsidiary over the next five years to build predictive AI solutions for airlines, airports, and hospitality groups.

How will Naviq operate?

Naviq will operate independently through its own management and leverage the decades of travel industry expertise built by IBS Software to offer AI-driven solutions for the aviation, cruise, hospitality, logistics, and online travel sectors. The company aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce implementation timelines, and modify legacy systems by accelerating digital transformation and modernizing operations.

V K Mathews, founder and executive chairman of IBS Group, announced a USD 500 million investment in a new venture, Naviq Technology, over the next five years. Naviq has commenced operations in over 16 locations globally and plans to hire 2,000 specialists initially, with an expected growth to over 5,000 professionals in five years. The company established a new campus at Infopark in Kochi and is scheduled to be inaugurated in July by Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan.

The Naviq Paradigm: Major Significance and Future Horizons

Backed by massive financial support, Naviq has dedicated resources to develop and scale sector-specific AI applications rapidly, bypassing traditional corporate constraints. Meanwhile, by bridging domain expertise and AI, it leverages the decades-long operational data and technological insights from IBS Software to create highly tailored, travel-centric AI solutions addressing critical pain points, providing predictive maintenance, crew scheduling, dynamic gate assignments, and baggage handling.

Overall, hyper-personalized customer experiences feature real-time dynamic pricing engines, intelligent upsell opportunities, and tailored onboard experiences to drive higher ancillary revenues. Operating from over 16 global offices, the company is positioned to act as a primary catalyst for modernizing critical travel infrastructure and establishing a resilient global ecosystem. Furthermore, it attracts a top-tier global workforce and talent acquisition to work at the intersection of applied AI and travel technology.

Impact on ICT Industry

This launch has a positive impact on the ICT industry by transforming the ICT and travel sectors by replacing fragmented legacy systems with purpose-built AI-first enterprise solutions as a dedicated AI implementation partner for travel SaaS.

This shifts the ICT focus from generic enterprise AI to highly regulated, mission-critical travel domains. With massive job creation by adding over 5,000 high-tech jobs globally, as prominent AI innovation centers. Additionally, speeds up deployment cycles by linking basic research and real-world travel SaaS. Intensified competition also reinforces legacy travel-tech providers to pivot from incremental AI features to ground-up AI frameworks.

Naviq overcomes travel industry challenges by unifying disconnected systems in airlines, hospitality, and logistics using a centralized data approach. It mitigates operational disruptions through predictive analytics and autonomous decision-making to resolve challenges like flight delays and crew rescheduling and accelerates deployment by combining domain expertise with AI and enabling hyper-personalization across the customer journey.

Impact of Artificial Intelligence in the Aviation Industry

The artificial intelligence in aviation market size is valued at USD 5.96 million in 2025 and is projected to hit around USD 23.70 million by 2035 with a CAGR of 14.80%.

According to Precedence Research, this launch accelerates the market by shifting from generic, bolt-on AI tools to deep, ground-up AI models designed to transform airline operations, personalization, and revenue growth. This operational footprint also ensures enterprise-level reliability, while the development of AI-driven tools empowers providers to optimize revenue streams.

The aviation and travel industries face challenges of fragmented data and complex legacy systems. Naviq overcomes these limitations by using data as the fabric for intelligent operations. This also connects fragmented systems across airports, airlines, and hospitality, allowing for real-time, predictive decision-making. It also optimizes complex logistical challenges by leveraging highly specialized AI at scale.  Meanwhile, deploying advanced AI improves personalized guest experiences across the travel journey.
