Infinitus Systems, the first agentic communications company to serve more than 100 million minutes of agentic AI-based conversations in the healthcare industry. They have announced the release of their Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This groundbreaking technology has the potential to redefine the relationship between artificial intelligence and healthcare systems. Infinitus removes the communication barriers that have long hindered patient care in the healthcare industry. Increasing the administrative expenses by aligning AI interoperability with the complex requirements of healthcare regulations and operations.
The healthcare industry has been grappling with fragmented data transmissions all over portals, APIs, fax, and even telephone conversations. Such an outdated workflow imposes excessive administrative burdens on providers and payers, and delays the process of making treatment decisions for patients. The Infinitus MCP server specifically addresses this fragmentation by enabling AI agents to communicate reliably with existing healthcare systems through a universal and trusted framework. Under this methodology, providers and payors can automate time-sensitive processes, such as benefit verification, prior authorization, and follow-up on appeals, without necessarily reconstructing their IT infrastructure.
Its implementation is timely in the healthcare field because organisations are increasingly adopting the use of artificial intelligence to address the rising costs, staff shortages, and heightened regulatory demands. The platform enables healthcare organisations to distance themselves safely, easily, and at scale by exposing Infinitus' APIs as MCP tools via standardisation, such as OpenAPI and FHIR. Furthermore, Infinitus embarks on extending MCP-enabled automation to related workflows, including claims management, appeal tracking, and coordinated integrated care. Infinitus is expected to bring the industry a step closer to a place where the administrative friction ceases to exist between patients and the care that they require.
Ankit Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of Infinitus, said:
“MCP is to AI what FHIR has been to healthcare IT. It establishes the foundation for interoperability, so AI agents can safely and effectively take action in the real world. With our MCP server, healthcare organisations can connect their existing APIs and data flows into our trusted AI ecosystem, without the cost or risk of reinventing their infrastructure.”
