Triple-combination single-pill therapeutics modernize hypertension management by integrating three distinct, harmonizing blood pressure-lowering therapeutics into a single daily dose to enhance adherence.

Kukje Pharma has increased its cardiovascular management product line by launching a advance antihypertensive drug that integrates three active components in a single pill.

The organization announced that it released Xduo Plus Tablets, a triple-combination antihypertensive therapeutic comprising S-Amlodipine, Valsartan, and Indapamide.

Xduo Plus Tablets is an exclusive formulation that combines three blood pressure-reducing components with various mechanisms of action in one pill. It comprises Valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), S-Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker (CCB), and Indapamide.

This novel treatment choice provides a triple-combination therapy for patients whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with existing dual-combination drugs. The organization states that this single-pill strategy enhances patient adherence by shortening the therapeutic regimen.

In hypertension management, integrated therapy using therapeutics with various mechanisms is broadly applicable, as a single therapeutic often fails to achieve target blood pressure levels.

This novel product adds Indapamide to the organization's present dual-combination drug, Xduo Tablets, which is available in dosages of 2.5/80 mg, 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, and 10/160 mg.

Xduo Plus Tablets have been approved with a novel integrated formulation, granting it a six-year information protection period. This protection remains in effect until 2032.

With this product launch, Kukje Pharma aims to bolster its position in the cardiovascular management market, specifically in the hypertension segment.

A spokesperson for Kukje Pharma stated that the launch of Xduo Plus Tablets increases the portfolio in hypertension management to include triple-combination therapies. It plans to continue increasing the product line in the cardiovascular treatment sector, completing the existing Xduo Tablets.

According to Towards Healthcare, the anti hypertensive drugs market is projected to grow significantly, with estimates indicating the market size will increase from USD 27.80 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 39.40 billion by 2035. The market is expanding at a CAGR of 3.89% from 2026 to 2035. Antihypertensive therapeutics are applied to lower blood pressure (BP) but, eventually, their true value lies in reducing morbidity and mortality in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and renal diseases. Hypertension is defined discretely (generally 140/90 mmHg), but the actual connection between BP and adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular outcomes is continuous. Reducing high blood pressure, such as primary and secondary hypertension, helps avoid severe systemic challenges such as strokes, heart attacks, and heart failure. Beyond blood pressure control, these therapeutics are broadly prescribed to manage and protect organs in associated cardiovascular and renal conditions. Antihypertensive drugs comprise several classes of compounds with the therapeutic intention of avoiding, controlling, or managing hypertension.

A recent report by Towards Healthcare highlights that the antihypertensive drugs market is growing, as the main aim of antihypertensive therapy is lowering cardiovascular morbidity and mortality related to arterial hypertension by an approach focused on lowering blood pressure while reducing the impact of other associated cardiovascular challenging factors. Antihypertensive medicines are efficient for lowering the risk of cardiovascular complications, but possibly to varying degrees. Their impact is therefore complex and multifaceted, and distilling this into a single number is not as valuable as modifying it. Hypertension, or increased blood pressure, is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events and death.
