LBB Specialties Strengthens Industrial Specialties Portfolio with Kemitura

LBB Specialties (LBBS) partnered with Kemitura to distribute their fumed silica products across the United States and Canada effectively. This collaboration allows LBBS to expand its specialty chemical portfolio for North American customers.

Portfolio Expansion

LBB Specialties is strengthening its Industrial Specialties portfolio by partnering with Kemitura to distribute KemituraSil® fumed silica to the North American C.A.S.E. market. This collaboration enhances their ability to provide high-performance materials and technical, application-driven solutions to customers.KemituraSil® fumed silica is currently available in both hydrophobic and hydrophilic grades and is extensively used for thixotropy control, anti-caking performance, reinforcement, free-flow, and binding applications. These solutions support an extensive range of end uses, such as elastomers, coatings, adhesives and sealants, composites, paper, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical formulations.

According to Towards Chem&Materials, the fumed silica market size accounted for USD 2.85 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 3.02 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 5.03 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 5.85% from 2026 to 2035 as demand for high-performance additives in sealants, adhesives, and electronics is increasing rapidly across the globe.

About Kemitura

Since 1941, the Kemitura Group has bridged the gap between specialty chemicals and technical equipment for global industries. Their name, a blend of "Kemi" (chemistry) and "Futura" (future), highlights a legacy built on innovation, sustainability, and a partner-focused approach.
