Nissan has kicked off the new third generation of the Leaf electric vehicle with considerably enhanced range, design, performance, and smartness. The new model, the new Nissan Leaf, is designed to re-energize the legendary brand and promote its environmental agenda, featuring an innovative futuristic fastback design, improved aerodynamics, and new high-tech solutions. Based on the super-high CMF-EV architecture that is also used in Nissan Ariya and some Renault EVs. The third-generation Leaf has been ranked not only as an inexpensive electric vehicle but also a radius-sensible and globally competitive electric mobility provider, offered smartly and efficiently.

The new Nissan Leaf has two battery options of up to 430 km (WLTP) and 600 km of driving range. The peculiar feature of the given model is not in the range but in its efficiency in real life at a bigger speed. Nissan states that it travels more than 320 km (200 miles) even at the speed of 128 km/h (80 mph) and is a practical car for highway driving. The drag coefficient is 0.26 on U.S. and Japanese models, and the slicker is still 0.25 on European ones, so the sculptured body aids performance and fuel efficiency. Such important elements of design as the flush-fit door handles, a steeply raked windscreen, underfloor panels, and aero-tuned wheels have been used to ensure aerodynamic efficiency.

The fastword that inspires the Leaf not only adds to the looks and sleekness of the car but also helps in maximizing the cabin space. It has a high roof, so the Nissan engineers have made it very usable as a family EV with plenty of headroom in the back and a commanding 437-litre boot capacity, even though it has a sloping roofline. The new electric motor is a three-in-one, which is available in the vehicle and provides a dedicated heat pump to reduce energy sapping in the cold seasons. Such focus on energy management contributes to augmenting not only the range but also the mid-term performance consistency.

Launching the new Leaf is very important as Nissan implements its Re:Nissan action plan that concentrates on electrification, innovation, and competitiveness globally. This car can be important to increasing the EV presence of Nissan and regaining its market leadership in this field as the original Leaf had enjoyed. Moreover, the new Leaf aims to be a competent player in the field of urban and intercity mobility use cases.
