In March 2026, PepsiCo introduced fiber snacks in the United States under its brands, like Sunchips and SmartFood. The fiber snack includes two products: Smartfood FiberPop and Sunchipe Fiber. The snack products help consumers to enhance their intake of fiber. The products are high-fiber options and made using legumes & whole grains. The snack product supports nutritional goals and is a flavorful option. The products are free from artificial colors.

Introduction to Smartfood FiberPop

It is a popcorn-based snack and is a good source of fiber. The snack offers 10 grams of whole grains, 130 calories, and 6 grams of fiber in each serving. The snack is made without artificial flavor and is considered a better-for-you product. The snack is made using ingredients like soluble corn fiber, canola oil, soy lecithin, popcorn, rosemary extract, sugar, sea salt, and ascorbic acid. The snack is available in two flavors:

  • Sweet and Salty Flavored Coated Popcorn:- The flavors are made up of prebiotic fiber, popcorn, and sunflower oil. It has a crunchy texture and offers savory & sweet flavor. It is suitable for on-the-go consumption.
  • Toffee & Sea Salt Flavored Coated Popcorn:- The flavors also contain butter, natural flavors, brown sugar, buttermilk, and carob powder, along with basic ingredients. It offers sea salt and toffee flavor.

It is a multigrain chip item that offers 3 grams of fiber in each serving. The product is a convenient snack option and offers 16 grams of whole grains in each serving. It is a low-fat snack and is manufactured using black beans & whole grains. It has a wavy crunch and does not contain artificial colors. It is available in two different flavors:

  • Spicy Jalapeno:- It offers jalapeno pepper taste and has a hearty crunch. It has a slightly greyish color, and its flavor comes from onion powder, garlic powder, jalapeno pepper powder, and sour cream.
  • Southwestern Queso:- It is made using brown rice flour, whole corn, and black beans. It has a zesty cheddar taste and is a vegetarian snack. The snack is a healthy choice for the heart.
