On World Environment Day, Recyclekaro, the largest India-based lithium-ion battery recycler, announced the launch of ReLoop. This new digital platform is changing the way Indians throw away their electronic waste. With ReLoop, users can arrange to have their old electronics picked up, so you can either donate or sell them to help them be recycled correctly. Since only 19% of more than 3.5 million tonnes of e-waste generated in India every year gets properly recycled, the platform is stepping in at a key moment for conserving the environment.

The app under development by Recyclekaro allows easy planning, monitors the way people recycle, and helps users engage with people in their community. Through the app’s points, users are able to win rewards and vouchers from various brands, making it more attractive to take care of the environment. ReLoop is trying to make sure that people add responsible e-waste disposal to their everyday habits, just as they do with ordering groceries or calling for a ride, by building a complete digital platform for recycling.

This initiative highlights that Recyclekaro is committed to putting leading technology together while keeping the environment safe. ReLoop is designed to help companies and organizations with Corporate Social Responsibility by organizing big collections of footwear for them. The system produces certificates for verified sets of data and a dashboard allowing organizations to check their progress and monitor results.

Initially launching in Hyderabad, ReLoop soon expanded its services to key urban centers, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and the Delhi NCR region. The rollout is strategically designed to capture India’s growing urban population, which is responsible for the bulk of e-waste generation. Furthermore, by focusing first on metropolitan cities, Recyclekaro aims to create a ripple effect of behavioral change that can eventually reach semi-urban and rural communities.

Industry Leader’s Statement

Rajesh Gupta, Founder and Director of Recyclekaro, expressed his vision for the platform, stating

“With ReLoop, we’re empowering citizens to become active participants in the recycling ecosystem. Our goal is to make responsible disposal of e-waste and batteries as easy, rewarding, and routine as ordering groceries or booking a cab. With ReLoop, we’re turning everyday recycling into a habit—simple, convenient, and meaningful.”
