Vertiv launches consultant portal for data centre design in India

In August 2026, Vertiv launched a consultant portal in India aimed at giving consulting engineers access to technical material and design resources that are used in planning critical digital infrastructure projects. The registration-based platform brings together technical documentation, BIM content, design tools and training resources. It also provides registered users with access to Vertiv’s engineering teams, including a dedicated support function for consultants in India.

The launch comes as data-center development in India seems to be accelerating. Vertiv, citing DCD Intelligence, also said the country’s data-center capacity is projected to cross 8 GW by 2030. The growth is increasing the requirements placed on consultants involved in infrastructure design and specification, particularly during the early stages of projects.

The portal also provides registered users with access to BIM content, which stands for Building Information Modelling, a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility that engineers use during the design phase. The platform also includes technical documentation and training programs. Consulting engineers can earn certifications and Continuing Education credits through flexible training programs, lab sessions and educational events accessible through the platform. A dedicated support team is available for India-based users.

Vertiv, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, manufactures power, cooling and IT infrastructure equipment for data centers. The company operates globally and has been expanding its presence in India as the country’s data center market grows.
