In August 2026, weBoost introduced SXS, which is the first cell signal booster that has been developed from the ground up for side-by-sides and UTVs. It is sealed against dust and water, clamped to the roll cage, and built to survive the vibration and weather in an off-road machine. SXS amplifies weak cellular signals to help riders and operators to stay connected to their maps, their crew, and emergency help where connectivity is usually weak.

Cell signal is very weak or almost nonexistent in remote trails, ranch land, backcountry, and oil fields. In such locations, riders lose navigation, group communication, and the ability to call for help. Ranchers cannot communicate or call the veterinarian from the field. weBoost SXS is the first solution that addresses this issue and has no direct competitor in this space.

SXS amplifies the signal from the nearest tower by making the use of a roof- or roll-cage-mounted outside antenna that gets line of sight, which is blocked by the cab. It is compatible with all prominent U.S. carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular on both 4G LTE and 5G. This tool uses proprietary automatic gain control to proactively adjust instead of shutting down like conventional competing boosters. The sealed enclosure has an IPX6 weather rating against dust and water.

According to Jonathan Field, weBoost General Manager, there are multiple places where people travel and work where connectivity dies out, and the cab only makes it worse. The dead zone prevents the person from accessing maps, groups, and the ability to call for help. This is a significant issue if a person is deep in the backcountry or running cattle across a large field.

It has been equipped with features that enable it to work and survive adverse environmental conditions. This product is expected to be widely adopted as it solves a big issue for people in a wide range of sectors.

Impact on the Telecommunication Market

The global telecommunication market size is estimated at USD 2.46 trillion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 2.61 trillion in 2026 to approximately USD 4.42 trillion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.03% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the introduction of the weBoost SXS is expected to benefit the telecommunication market. This is because it presents a new segment of technology to the market, providing unprecedented amplification of signals. It uses patented technology to consistently amplify weak signals and is expected to boost the adoption of telecommunication services in various sectors.

Impact on the Insulation Market

The global insulation market size is estimated at USD 65.78 billion in 2025 and predicted to increase from USD 69.84 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 136.84 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 7.60% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the weBoost SXS is expected to positively impact the insulation market. This product uses an IPX6 weather-rated sealed enclosure to protect the device from dust and water. It has been built to survive vibration and weather in off-road machines.

The use of insulation materials in consumer electronics devices will boost their demand. This product is expected to be widely adopted in industrial, commercial, and transportation applications. Such a development will boost the research and development pipelines in the market as companies try to build their own advanced insulation materials that can protect the devices inside them from harsh environmental conditions.

About weBoost

weBoost is the market leader in cellular signal booster technology and is committed to expanding access to wireless networks. The company provides signal amplification solutions for RVs, rigs, rural regions, and cities. weBoost is a subsidiary of Wilson Electronics. Wilson Electronics was founded by Jim Wilson, who loved amateur radio as a kid. He started to make antennas in his parents’ garage as soon as he received his radio license when he was 14 years old.

Jim launched the first of many successful companies in 1968, which produced and sold CB antennas and two-way radios. He got the idea for cell phone amplification systems in 1997 when he was working away from home and was not able to connect with his family due to poor cell phone connectivity. He did research for 3 years and invented and patented the first cell signal amplification solution.
