Yourgene Health Launches Game-Changing Platform for Long-Read Genomic Sequencing

Yourgene Health, a member of the Novacyt group and a pioneer in molecular diagnostics innovation. They have formally announced the commercial launch of LightBench Discover, a powerful all-in-one benchtop instrument designed to expand the limits of genomic research laboratories. The LightBench Discover is a device designed to accommodate leading-edge long-read sequencing workflows. This enables the streamlining of complex lab procedures by incorporating three key capabilities into a compact, high-precision device, including large fragment analytics, DNA size selection, and fluorometric quantification.

The release of this milestone product is the result of a strategic partnership with PacBio, a pioneer in HiFi long-read sequencing, with whom Yourgene Health partnered in November 2023. Yourgene has since installed early prototypes of the LightBench Discover in several research laboratories to receive vital feedback, optimize performance, and design the system to meet actual needs. The outcome is a revolutionary solution that now provides users with access to PacBio Revio and Vega platforms, enabling them to conduct genomic research with unmatched convenience, accuracy, and productivity in high-throughput assays.

The LightBench Discover has been designed in a modular and intuitive way that fits the requirements of labs, specifically expanding their capacity or shifting towards more automated and scalable processes in genomics. The ease of use, data export capabilities, and simplified maintenance make it an ideal tool for high-throughput applications.
