IQVIA Launches AI-Powered Clinical Trial Financial Suite to Transform Global Trial Management

IQVIA, a clinical research services, healthcare intelligence, and commercial insights company that is globally leading, announced the launch of its Clinical Trial Financial Suite (CTFS), a next-generation, AI-based platform that is centralizing and digitizing its financial operations in clinical trials. CTFS is intended to solve the inefficiencies that are due to fragmented systems by offering an integrated package where the use of a single and integrated framework can handle budgeting, contracting, forecasting, and payments. The innovation transforms the way sponsors, contract research organizations (CROs), and study sites manage trial finances, enhancing efficiency and transparency.

CTFS Site Payments is the core module of CTFS, automating one of the most intensive processes in trial management: site and participant payments. CTFS Site Payments allows organizations to save on manual work and is able to speed up financial processes greatly by applying agentic Artificial Intelligence to automate budget preparation and process invoices and anomalies. According to internal estimates made by IQVIA, the processing times may be reduced by a factor of up to 50 by its customers, potentially with widespread ramifications on the speed and cost-efficiency of clinical research.

IQVIA has founded the CTFS on decades of operational knowledge, having facilitated site and participant payments in over 200 geographies. CTFS is powered by state-of-the-art AI and automation, minimizing the administrative overhead that in many cases slows the pace of the trial and allows clinical teams to dedicate more time to patient outcomes and less to administrative tasks. IQVIA intends to commercially release CTFS Site Payments in Q1 2026, with an early adopters' sandbox release in Q4 2025. Furthermore, IQVIA establishes CTFS not only as a product launch but also as a strategic resource that will serve as a modernisation of clinical trial finances in line with the increasing need of the industry to use AI-driven solutions.
