In August 2026, Amorepacific launches a research-specialized generative AI platform, LEMON, designed to accelerate cosmetics research and development by partnering with KT and leveraging 70 years of integrated data. The platform lowers complex ingredient and regulatory review tasks from 12 days to five minutes by enabling scientists to prioritize innovation.

Initial beta testing has shown that tasks such as planning research material and regulatory reviews that took 12 days can now be accomplished in just five minutes.

Byung-Fhy Suh, CTO of Amorepacific R&I Center, emphasizes that AI must utilize high-quality data to function as an effective research partner with the goal of automating routine tasks and allowing researchers to prioritize innovation. The Data Highway and LEMON tools are intended to serve as the foundation for this new and efficient research ecosystem.
