Avatar Medical has partnered with Barco and launched Eonis Vision. This is a new-generation imaging platform that combines Barco's bar-free, glasses-free 3D display technology with Avatar Medical's advanced 3D anatomy visualization software. The fully integrated solution allows doctors and patients to jointly analyze medical images in real time without the need for headsets, goggles, or a complex setup. This makes high-end 3D visualization more readily available in the day-to-day clinical workflow.

Eonis Vision is a product that is designed to overcome the communication barrier between doctors and patients. They convert traditional medical images into comprehensive 3D models with stereoscopic capabilities that can be manipulated, viewed from various angles, and explored collaboratively. The system enhances clinical decision-making and increases patient engagement by eliminating technical barriers and accelerating image interpretation.
The software engine of Eonis Vision optimizes CT and MRI scans into anatomically realistic, interactive 3D avatars in just a few seconds. They are providing clinicians with dynamic visualization rather than 2D slices. Barco has a newly developed autostereoscopic 3D display that supports this upgrade, based on the Immensity platform developed by Leia Inc., providing depth perception without glasses.
Eonis Vision is considered one of the most advanced stereo-visual systems on the market, with Barco selling the Eonis 3D display as the first glasses-free 3D display specifically designed to meet medical imaging requirements. As Avatar Medical awaits regulatory approval of its new software, the firms forecast its commercial availability by the end of November. The industry analysts consider the alliance a strategic milestone, and the merger of Avatar Medical's medical visualization experience with Barco's long-term leadership in the diagnostic display market.

“Eonis Vision transforms medical imaging into a shared understanding between clinicians and patients. When both parties can clearly see the same anatomical reality, they make better decisions together. Our mission has always been to humanize medical imaging, and this technology brings us closer to ensuring that every consultation becomes more transparent, confident, and collaborative.”
