Stronger, Greener Materials for Daily Use

In October 2025, CJ Biomaterials has recently unveiled a new product called PHACT™ MA1350Q, which is a special type of material used to improve eco-friendly products. Also, this new launch is a PHA masterbatch. Moreover, it is specially designed for making items like fibers and nonwoven materials, which are commonly used in products such as wipes, diapers, hygiene items, and similar everyday goods, as per the company's claim.

The main idea behind this launch is to make these products not only strong and useful but also better for the environment. Also, the company has combined two materials in this product. One is their own PHA-based material, which is natural and biodegradable, and the other is PLA, which is also a plant-based plastic.

Materials Designed for Natural Decomposition

Another important thing about this launch is its environmental benefit. Furthermore, the material is designed to break down faster than traditional plastics and even faster than some other bioplastics. It is also certified for composting, including home composting, which means it can safely decompose without harming nature.

The company has also made it easy for manufacturers to use this product. It can be directly added during the production process, allowing companies to adjust how much of the material they want to use depending on their needs. This flexibility helps manufacturers create products that balance performance and sustainability.

According to Towards Chem&Materials, the Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) Market size accounted for USD 874.71 million in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 1,019.47 million in 2026 to approximately USD 4,045.64 million by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 16.55% from 2026 to 2035, due to the increased trend toward an eco-friendly environment.

Furthermore, with this launch, CJ Biomaterials is focusing on solving two main problems improving product quality and reducing environmental impact. By introducing this new masterbatch, the company is helping industries move towards more sustainable materials, especially in products that are used daily and often thrown away quickly.
