Enverus, a leading provider of energy analytics and SaaS solutions, is used by thousands of customers globally with AI-driven insights for energy processes and investment decisions. The agreement is expected to reinforce its role in enabling digital transformation and automation in the evolving energy and power infrastructure sector.

To address the growing pressure of modernized power grids and manage rising electricity demand, this deal will combine Enverus energy analytics and planning intelligence with SBS’s engineering design automation technologies and AI-powered reporting to manage complex infrastructure projects. The organization aims at integrating platforms that connect capital planning to design and execute large-scale grid investments efficiently.

According to Enverus, Utilities are projected to spend more than $1 trillion by 2029 to modernize aging infrastructure, integrate new generation, and meet rising demand. This spending is driven by rising pressure to modernize infrastructure while managing rising electricity demand.

According to Precedence Research, the global agentic AI in energy market size is estimated at USD 656.60 million in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 897.25 million in 2026 to approximately USD 14,907.31 million by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 36.65% from 2026 to 2035. The growth of the market is due to growing electricity demand, expansion of renewable energy, rising demand for energy efficiency and predictive maintenance of infrastructure.

SBS brings a range of design automation solutions and AI-powered reporting that streamlines utility engineering workflows with convenient and fully customizable engineering templates, automated bills of materials and connected data across design, enterprise planning systems, and GIS environments.

SBS was founded in 2002 and is serving across energy transmission, distribution and substation design and telecommunication designs such as Automated Utility Design (AUD), Substation Design Suite (SDS), BIM Substation Designer (BSD), and Automated Broadband Designer (ABD). The platform improves design cycle times by up to 90%, improving efficiency in large infrastructure projects. Its services are adopted across utilities and engineering companies in North America, Europe and Australia.
