Former Fitbit Founders Launch Luffu- An AI-Powered Family Health Hub
Former Fitbit founders James Park and Eric Friedman have introduced Luffu, a new AI-based platform that aims to assist families in managing their health and wellness needs in a single convenient digital solution. This is the latest health tech venture from the pair who left Google and Fitbit after playing a pivotal role in the mainstream adoption of wearable fitness tracking technology.

Luffu is an intelligent family care system that aggregates a family’s health information from various sources such as connected devices, health websites and manual entry, and uses AI to analyze and monitor it. This platform aims to alleviate the burden of caregiving by learning the family’s specific patterns and identifying specific patterns and identifying significant changes that may suggest a developing health condition.
In contrast to traditional health apps that center on personal tracking, Luffu is based on the recognition of health information shared among partners, children, aging parents and even pets. Users can track information through voice, text, or photo entries. This product utilizes medication regimens, dietary changes, lab work and doctor visits. The AI system works quietly in the background to identify trends and alert users when something unusual is detected. Families can also enquire about health trends and safety issues without the need of switching between multiple applications.
Privacy and control are also of utmost importance in this app with families controlling what information is share and with whom it is shared. The current version of Luffu is available through a limited public beta app, and a waiting list on the company’s website. The founders also announced that they plan to eventually develop complimentary hardware devices with the goal of combining digital and physical tools to further enhance caregiving and health tracking.
