Geotab launched the GO Focus Plus AI dash cam and a new video intelligence platform in Indonesia. This technology is bolstering their fleet of connected transportation solutions in Southeast Asia. The solution has been launched to empower fleet operators to enhance driver safety and to make real-time decisions in more complex transportation scenarios.

The launch comes at an opportune moment for both the logistics and mobility sectors, which are continuously driven to modernize safety measures. The launch further underscores the rising global need for intelligent fleet management solutions and a better understanding of the performance of roads in commercial transportation.

According to Precedence Research, the dashboard camera market size was calculated at USD 5.50 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 6.19 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 17.63 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 12.60% from 2026 to 2035. The market growth is attributed to increasing adoption of AI-enabled vehicle surveillance systems, rising road safety awareness, and expanding connected mobility infrastructure across passenger and commercial transportation sectors.

Indonesia’s Transport Sector Faces Rising Operational and Safety Pressures

Operating the transportation workflow in one of the world's biggest archipelagos creates a special challenge for fleet operators in Indonesia. Particularly, companies frequently travel in the thick urban volumes with a mix of motor vehicles and into remote areas that lack connectivity and supervision. These contribute to the ongoing road safety concerns in the country.

The platform edge AI architecture enables the platform to maintain on-board driving behaviors monitoring and analytics, despite unstable and temporarily lost internet connectivity. The ability is crucial in Indonesia's remote transportation corridors, such as Trans-Java and Trans-Sumatra, of which connectivity continuity is still frequently broken. Geotab also noted that the platform is specifically customised for the highly dynamic traffic environment in Indonesia.

AI Video Intelligence Expands Beyond Traditional Telematics

The GO Focus Plus platform integrates real-time telematics data and video intelligence to provide a more detailed view of how a fleet is operating. The system goes beyond just identifying vehicle location and engine problems to give the context to incidents. Geotab also launched, initiating a comprehensive AI-enabled danger prioritization feature. This works to support fleet managers in not having to manually look at quite a few hours of video footage.

Privacy, Compliance, and Connected Fleet Intelligence Shape Future Growth

As AI-powered monitoring systems expand globally, fleet operators increasingly face questions surrounding privacy protection and regulatory compliance. Geotab said the privacy-by-design principles in GO Focus Plus aim to strike a balance between safety monitoring needs and data privacy obligations.

It offers different recording modes when zooming the front of the camera for the road and has a set of masking features for privacy, so that the system can comply with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP). Additionally, the launch in Indonesia also bolsters Geotab's standing in the fast-growing connected transportation sector in the Southeast Asian region.
