At the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) in the UAE, Doctory, a health technology company, and SRTI Park have joined forces to introduce “Masand”, an innovatory medical bag for fast diagnostics and telehealth services during big events like the Hajj pilgrimage. “Masand” was developed inside the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab (SoiLAB) and brings together connected technology, flexible equipment, and fast diagnosis to support patients in areas with limited resources.
The initiative proves why SRTI Park is respected across the region for changing research innovations into real healthcare outcomes. Furthermore, because of how it supported emergency responses in the holy sites during Hajj, healthcare regulators have noticed it, and it further underlines how innovations in Sharjah benefit many people worldwide.
Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park
“Doctory’s innovative products, designed within SoiLAB, are a model of health innovation. This project reflects our commitment to empowering creative and innovative companies to turn their ideas into tangible solutions that improve lives. The Hajj season provides a unique opportunity to test these solutions in real-world conditions, showcasing SRTI Park’s ability to turn research and innovation into practical outcomes.”
Osama Shamsi Pasha, Co-Founder & COO of Doctory
“The ‘Masand’ medical bag represents a significant leap in mobile healthcare, made possible by the advanced innovation environment and world-class team at SoiLAB. We have had previous successful collaborations with SoiLAB, such as developing the ‘Doctory Chair,’ which reinforces our confidence that SRTI Park is the ideal environment for testing ambitious ideas and turning them into practical products.”
