In September 2026, Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. launched 3 inkjet printers for industrial products and the textile and apparel sectors, 2 new ink colors in UV fluorescent inks and DTF inks, and software which is intended to optimize their performance. The company also plans to demonstrate all these products at the PRINTING United Expo 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas, U.S., commencing from 23rd September 2026.

The printers unveiled by the company are as follows:

  • JFX220-2515: This is a mid-segment large-format flatbed UV printer that is equipped with the media vacuum system, enabled by the company’s Anchor Technology, which facilitates seamless media setup and significantly decreases the time needed for print preparation.
  • UJF200 Series: This inkjet printer series is used to decorate personalized commodities and for industrial applications. It comes with a camera and belt assembly as an optional feature to enable a higher degree of automation in printing operations. The camera is used to assess and adjust the position of the media to auto-align the print image.
  • TxF330-800: This is the flagship DTF printer of the company, which has the modern high-speed 330 Print Engine. It is around 50 percent faster than the conventional models and does not compromise on print quality. It offers consistent and continuous output by using 100-meter rolls of DTF film, facilitating mass manufacturing of customized T-shirt orders.
  • The company also launched pink and yellow colors in its UV fluorescent inks lineup, which are compatible with the JFX220-2515 and UJF200 Series. Mimaki also introduced 2 new DTF colors, pale pink and sky blue, for the TxF330-800. The newly launched RasterLink8 helps to optimize the performance of printers and inks.

Some of the important capabilities of this software are as follows:

  • It assists the camera in detecting media and positioning the data automatically.
  • Enhance color expression using multicolor printing.
  • It helps to match colors across multiple printers.

Impact on the Chemical Industry

According to Precedence Research, this launch will expand the direct-to-film printing and UV fluorescent printing sectors as the company offers visually striking colors that can be used in a wide range of applications. If these products provide positive results in early phases of launch, they could cause a significant workflow change to boost the adoption of DTF in various sectors. For textiles, the use of DTF printing eliminates the need for fabric pre-treatment, which could potentially decrease the selling price as compared to DTG (direct-to-garment) printing. Positive feedback for UV fluorescent inks might propel their usage in classified communication purposes, as such organizations would have an alternative besides digitally encrypted connectivity.

Impact on the Custom T-Shirt Printing Market

The global custom t-shirt printing market size is estimated at USD 7.01 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to reach around USD 20.05 billion by 2035, with an expanding CAGR of 11.08% between 2026 and 2035.

According to Precedence Research, this launch will help custom T-shirt print service providers increase the pace of their operations without compromising the quality of printing. It represents the adoption of advanced digital and automation technologies to enable personalized printing at scale. The software decreases the skill barriers for high-quality printing over a wide range of surfaces, which might enable more competitors to enter the market. This might result in an increase in the level of fragmentation in the custom print service sector.

Impact on the Digital Transformation Market

The global digital transformation market size accounted for USD 1.49 trillion in 2025 and is predicted to reach around USD 12.53 trillion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 23.73% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, this launch will boost the digital transformation market because it uses dedicated software to optimize the performance of printers and inks. If this software provides good results, prominent technology corporations might actively invest in their research pipelines to develop such technologies and try to make them compatible with more and more applications. This segment is in a relatively early stage, and positive results might hand them over a large chunk of the market share.
