In July 2026, Gurugram-based oncology-focused health technology startup OnCare inaugurated a new cancer treatment center in Bengaluru, with the aim of expanding its operations in Karnataka and improving access to oncology services throughout India. This recent launch follows the company's previous activities in the Delhi-NCR region.

OnCare seeks to enhance the accessibility and affordability of oncology services and plans to establish nearly 100 treatment centers across India over the next five years. Earlier this year, the oncology care platform raised INR 27 crore in a Series A funding round led by Sky Impact Capital, aimed at scaling its cancer care network, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with an emphasis on streamlining clinical operations and improving care coordination.

Founded in 2023 by former executives of Pristyn Care, Amar Sneh and Deepak Kumar, OnCare operates a distributed oncology care platform focused on providing affordable and standardized cancer treatment. Its model integrates medical, surgical, and radiation oncology services through accredited hospitals, all under a capital-efficient framework. This new initiative reinforces the startup's commitment to making oncology services more accessible and expanding comprehensive cancer care across India.

As part of its growth strategy, OnCare plans to establish nearly 100 centers across India over the next five years. To support this expansion, the startup has allocated an investment of INR 15 crore for its operations in Bangalore and the Delhi NCR. Its long-term vision is to redefine how cancer care is delivered in emerging healthcare markets in India, bringing quality treatment closer to where patients live.

Impact on Cancer Therapeutics

The global cancer therapeutics market was estimated at USD 212.58 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow from approximately USD 279.73 billion in 2026 to about USD 501.07 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 8.95% from 2026 to 2035.

According to precedence research, patients with cancer are particularly vulnerable during pandemics like COVID-19, facing various challenges such as interruptions in their treatment and increased risk of life-threatening infections. Consequently, oncologists have had to navigate the complex balance between providing high-quality continuous care and minimizing patient risks. To bridge this gap, OnCare has recently launched a new cancer treatment facility in Bengaluru. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the company's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-friendly, and affordable cancer treatment options across India.

Deepak Kumar, Co-founder of OnCare, stated, “A cancer diagnosis is overwhelming enough. Access to the right care should not make it harder. Our goal with OnCare is to make high-quality treatment more reachable, transparent, and humane for families across India."

With cancer cases growing across India, OnCare believes decentralised care models can help bridge gaps in access and lower the burden on patients who often travel long distances for treatment. This launch in Bengaluru marks the next phase of its plan to build a wider oncology care network across the country.

Impact on Oncology Industry

The global oncology market was valued at USD 250.88 billion in 2025 and is expected to increase from USD 279.73 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 732.45 billion by 2035, with a CAGR of 11.31% from 2026 to 2035.

According to precedence research, growing investments and advancements in the biopharmaceutical industry are driving the development of innovative drugs and therapies, which in turn fosters the demand for oncology treatment and diagnostics. Increasing awareness among the population about the availability of various oncology drugs and diagnostics is anticipated to boost global market growth.

The Bengaluru center will offer services including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, oncology consultations, treatment planning, supportive care, and patient navigation programs. This facility aims to meet the rising demand for specialized cancer care in Karnataka and its neighboring regions. Additionally, patients will have access to specialized oncology consultations, comprehensive treatment planning, supportive care services, and dedicated patient navigation programs.
