Light Force orthodontic has announced the launch of light bracket metal, the industrys first patient- specific 3D- printed metal orthodontic bracket, building on its earlier customized ceramic bracket platforms, the new metal solution extends personalized orthodontic treatment to patients who prefer conventional metal braces, unlike standards brackets manufactured in fixed sizes, each Light Bracket Metal is digitally from an orthodontists treatment plan and tailored to the anatomy of an individual tooth, the company describes this approaches as  “ generative braces” where every appliances is uniquely generated to match a patients clinical requirements.

Advancing Personalized Orthodontic Technology

The new bracket is manufactured using a proprietary 3D metal printing process and incorporates customization across six clinical dimensions, including bracket base geometry slot height, slot prescription, bracket positioning, tie wings, and hook configuration, this individualized design aims to improve bracket fit, reduce bonding failures, enhance patient comfort, and minimize the need for manual wire adjustments during treatment, this system also includes digitally generated indirect bonding trace that simplify placement and improve clinical workflow efficiency, according to the company, earlier version of its customized bracket platform demonstrated fewer patient visits and shorter treatment times compared with conventional orthodontic  systems.
