Panasonic Holdings Corporation launched licensing of its AI Platform for Visual Inspection. This has been created by Panasonic R&D Center Singapore. The platform facilitates automation and improvement of a large number of field tasks, such as inspection of infrastructure, quality control of construction work, and inspection of assembly lines.

It is also the first international collaboration of its kind by Panasonic to license technologies developed in its Singapore-based research and development facility. This is a strategic move in the direction of broadening the commercial capabilities of its more sophisticated AI solutions.

Accelerating AI Adoption Across Complex Field Operations

The Visual Inspection AI Platform was completed in 2010, a top-to-bottom platform that assists in the full life cycle of AI implementation. It allows organizations to coordinate the use of data, modeling, training, validation, deployment, and continual tracking into a single environment. This design greatly simplifies the complexity and cost of creating custom AI systems and enables businesses to move further along the continuum between proof-of-concept development.

A Panasonic spokesperson stated, “This platform reflects our commitment to delivering practical AI solutions that address real-world challenges. By providing a scalable and secure framework, we are enabling organizations to adopt AI more efficiently and unlock new levels of productivity and operational excellence.”

According to Precedence Research, the AI IP and Licensing Market size was calculated at USD 4.80 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 5.98 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 42.95 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 24.50% from 2026 to 2035. The market growth is attributed to increasing enterprise demand for proprietary AI models, structured licensing frameworks, and scalable monetization of digital intellectual property assets.

Industry Impact and Future Outlook

The launch of this platform comes as industries worldwide increasingly turn to automation and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, safety, and quality. The capability of the platform to combine various sources of data and devices of input in a single framework is one of the most important resources of the platform. Furthermore, Panasonic has a larger vision of the platform than single deployments. The company is determined to make it a backbone technology of cooperation in various industries and areas.
