Seoul ADEX 2025: The Aerospace & Defense Expo Begins Oct. 17

Seoul Airport in Seongnam and KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, will host the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition 2025 from October 17 to 24. Since its founding in 1996 and its 2009 expansion to include ground defense industries, Seoul ADEX has developed into the biggest trade show for the aerospace and defense sector in Korea. This biennial event, which offers a stage for exhibiting state-of-the-art technology, fostering industry partnerships, and promoting export opportunities, draws attention from all over the world.

It is anticipated that this year's event will be the biggest in its history, with approximately 600 companies from 35 countries attending, more than the 550 companies from 34 countries that attended the previous event in 2023. With an expansion of roughly 58% to 49000 square meters, KINTEX's indoor exhibition space is now on par with the Farnborough Air Show in the UK and second only to the Paris Air Show globally in terms of scale. The growth reflects both Korea's expanding defense and aerospace aspirations and the growing interest of international businesses in breaking into the Korean market.

The brand-new 2260-square-meter New Technology Hall, which will highlight Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and space economy technologies, is a major highlight of Seoul ADEX 2025. AAM aircraft space-grade carbon fiber materials, sophisticated satellite communication systems, and models of reusable launch vehicles are all anticipated to be on display for visitors. Korea's expanding role in the global aerospace ecosystem is further cemented with this addition, which makes the hall the second largest in the world for showcasing space and AAM innovations after the Space Hub at the Paris Air Show 2025.

Beyond the exhibition, the event will host around 30 industry-focused seminars at KINTEX, covering technological advancements, defense exports, and collaborative opportunities. The outdoor exhibition area will display state-of-the-art defense equipment, including items specifically aimed at boosting Korea’s defense exports. Seoul ADEX 2025 is expected to strengthen international partnerships, enhance Korea’s technological reputation, and open new avenues for domestic aerospace and defense companies in the global market.
