Sysmex Europe SE has announced the launch of the UC-1100, a semi-automated urine chemistry analyser. This is designed to increase the flexibility and efficiency of the current urinalysis procedures. The UC-1100 is designed to be used in laboratories, clinics, and near-patient settings. Furthermore, this technology enhances the diagnostic portfolio of the company through its compact design, easy to use features, and future connectivity.

Next-Gen UC-1100

Enabling Smarter and More Flexible Urinalysis Workflows

The UC-1100 has been designed to meet the dynamic demands of diagnostic labs. Urinalysis diagnostics aid in identifying and tracking conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney diseases, and metabolic diseases. Additionally, labs need solutions that would be able to fit the existing systems without complicating the situation with the growing number of patients and the need to provide quick outcomes.

The analyser has a wide range of deployment options, including a standalone system or as a component of a larger integrated system. This flexibility enables laboratories to design workflows according to their operational needs without affecting the existing processes.

Sysmex ensures that laboratory staff can transition smoothly without extensive retraining with continuity and user-friendly improvement of earlier models. Additionally, the UC-1100 allows healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic insights by making the workflow familiar.

According to Precedence Research, the veterinary urinalysis market size accounted for USD 1.10 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 1.17 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 2.05 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 6.40% from 2026 to 2035. The market growth is attributed to the rising adoption of preventive animal healthcare and advancements in veterinary urinalysis technologies.

Industry Impact and Future Outlook

The introduction of the UC-1100 is timely with the current focus on healthcare systems on early detection and effective disease monitoring. Non-invasive and cost-effective diagnostic approaches, such as a urinalysis, are one of the pillars of these endeavors.

This analyser facilitates a two-way communication over LAN with information systems in the laboratory. Further facilitating the smooth exchange of information and better traceability of the test results. This is increasingly important in regulated healthcare environments.

The system also brings in the extended user management facilities. These features increase accountability and contribute to compliance with the quality management requirements. Other quality control features, such as reagent lot tracking and user identification, also reinforce the data integrity and documentation practices. Moreover, the UC-1100 has a higher internal storage capacity, up to 10,000 test results and test strip images to support the requirements of rising data demand.
