Texas Biomed Signs Agreement to Strengthen U.S. Biodefense Capabilities

Texas Biomedical Research Institute, one of the global leading independent biomedical research company intended to eradicating infection and developing health, an announced novel Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Department of War (DoW) to supports to protect service members and civilians from evolving and high-consequence biological challenges.

The agreement with the Capability Program Executive for Chemicl, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CPE CBRND), which achieves the nation’s spending in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense diagnostics and medical countermeasures (MCMs), founds a collaborative framework to speed-up the advancement, testing, and validation of healthcare countermeasures while strengthening national preparedness.

The CRADA founds a framework for Texas Biomed and CPE CBRND to collaborate on MCM projects which protect worldwide populations, involving U.S. warfighters serving at home and abroad. The arrangement recognizes Texas Biomed’s operational impact abilities, involving high containment research and devotion to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards which support U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory needs. The Institute is hub to one of the nation’s seven National Primate Research Centers, providing expertise in translational research and model advancement.

The CRADA framework is designed to confirms that significanyt resources for biological challenges, whether from naturally emerging diseases or engineered challenges, are continuously ready and available on demand, rather than occasionally.
