THIP, ISSRF partner up to launch digital patient education program on endometriosis
In July 2026, The Healthy Indian Project (THIP) announced a partnership with the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF), which will serve as the Knowledge Partner for THIP Academy’s Evidence-Based Digital Patient Education Program on Endometriosis. According to THIP, the program has been designed to improve disease awareness, patient engagement, health literacy, and informed healthcare decision-making among women who are struggling with endometriosis.
This collaboration is part of THIP’s initiative to work with medical associations and healthcare experts in order to develop evidence-based and patient-focused educational programs that are aimed at improving health literacy, boosting disease awareness, promoting shared decision-making, and contributing to better patient outcomes. Under this partnership, ISSRF will provide scientific guidance, academic oversight, and clinical expertise for the program. THIP Academy will be responsible for instructional design, patient engagement design, content production, digital learning experience, multilingual adaptation, educational outcome measurement, and nationwide distribution.
This program has also been designed to improve patient knowledge, encourage timely healthcare seeking, strengthen patient confidence during consultations, and measure educational outcomes through structured pre-course and post-course assessments.
Impact on the Healthcare Industry
Endometriosis is a chronic condition that affects millions of women worldwide. Despite its prevalence, endometriosis remains largely underdiagnosed, misunderstood, and underfunded in research and healthcare systems. According to THIP, endometriosis affects an estimated 190 million women globally. It has also been stated that many women wait between six and 10 years for a diagnosis, often experiencing chronic pain, infertility, and emotional distress while symptoms are considered “normal'
The need for a holistic approach towards addressing women’s health needs is paramount in the urban-rural divide as well. While endometriosis is increasingly being reported from urban areas, not much is known about how women from rural areas are being supported in diagnosis and referral. This increases the risks that women face, especially with pain management, stigma, and misdiagnosis.
Establishment of nodal departments or focal points in the health departments, especially at the district or cluster level, will prove to be beneficial to understanding the extent to which this condition persists. Ongoing research studies and clinical trials are leading to the development of novel and effective treatment options, thus driving the global healthcare market forward. The rising government funding and policies in support of Women's Health is further contributing to market growth.
Impact on the Endometriosis Treatment Market
The global endometriosis treatment market size is accounted at USD 2.01 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 2.26 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 5.74 billion by 2034, expanding at a CAGR of 12.35% from 2025 to 2034.
According to Precedence Research, the rising prevalence of endometriosis in women is driving the need for innovative and effective treatment solutions. Moreover, the rising awareness about the conditions, growing advancements in diagnostic techniques, continuous research, and regulatory approvals for innovative therapies are fueling the global market.
The rising awareness about the endometriosis condition, driven by increased prevalence and government initiatives in enhancing women's health, is the major factor that is driving the growth of the endometriosis treatment market. The awareness about the endometriosis condition and its impact on women is rising among women and healthcare professionals, thus driving demand for early diagnosis. This increased awareness has led to a higher demand for early detection, and effective therapies contribute to enhancing research and development for innovative treatment options. Government initiatives in promoting women's health, along with increased funding for research, are further driving innovations and growth.
Impact on the Endometrial Cancer Market
The global endometrial cancer market size is calculated at USD 31.09 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach around USD 53.76 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 5.63% from 2026 to 2035.
According to Precedence Research, the number of endometrial cancer cases is growing due to aging populations, obesity, and hormonal imbalances, leading to a higher demand for early diagnosis and treatment. Expensive therapies and uneven reimbursement policies remain key barriers, highlighting the need for affordable and widely available treatment options.
Efforts to raise awareness about endometrial cancer risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection are contributing to market growth. Screening programs targeting high-risk populations, along with public health campaigns promoting awareness, are also gaining traction, encouraging more individuals to seek medical evaluation, leading to earlier diagnosis and treatment initiation.
Ongoing research and development efforts have further led to advancements in endometrial cancer treatment options. These include targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and combination therapies that offer improved efficacy and reduced side effects compared to traditional treatments. As these treatments become more widely available, they drive market growth by improving patient outcomes and expanding the addressable market.
