In July 2026, Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific Company of Manila, Inc. (AG&P), a prominent engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPFCIC) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) company, established an 85-hectare module fabrication yard in San Pascual, Batangas, Philippines. This plant has a fabrication capacity of 80,000 metric tons and is intended to cater to worldwide demand for LNG, petroleum, clean and renewable fuels, power, refining, chemicals, and digital sectors.

The inauguration program was attended by the company’s senior managerial personnel and regional government officers. The company already has the Batangas Heavy Fabrication Yard in Bauan, Batangas, which has catered to some of the most sophisticated global modular and infrastructure projects for over 4 decades. The company plans to use its new San Pascual facility for future growth by incorporating advanced technologies.

The new plant is intended to cater to the needs of modern industrial standards in terms of efficiency, safety, and quality in industrial construction and improve the supply chain in industries with rapid growth. This yard will use the company’s patented Modstruction execution system, which significantly decreases project costs and completion time.

According to Alex Gamboa, the President and CEO of AG&P Industrial, this launch is a major milestone for the company as it demonstrates its 126 years of heritage. This yard has the ability to work on USD 0.5 billion worth of projects every year. He says that their proprietary Modstruction will help them become a preferred worldwide choice for resolving project execution and process efficiency issues.

Impact on the Chemical Industry

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the module fabrication yard in the Philippines is expected to positively impact the chemical industry due to the fact that it helps improve industrial projects across various sectors in terms of speed, efficiency, and resource usage. This helps companies in sectors such as chemicals, oil and gas, and drug production industries to improve the pace of transition from pilot project to commercial launch. The Modstruction strategy also helps to optimize project costs, which facilitates small and mid-sized enterprises to compete with large corporations.

Impact on the Construction Chemicals Market

The global construction chemicals market size is estimated at USD 52.88 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to reach around USD 74.66 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 3.51% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the construction chemicals market is expected to benefit from the introduction of the module fabrication yard in the Philippines. This is because the company’s advanced execution methods and next-generation yards help deliver excellent quality outputs in lesser amounts of time as compared to conventional processing facilities. The construction sector is undergoing various changes as the companies involved strive to achieve sustainable construction and the usage of environment-friendly machinery and materials. They need a large amount of various chemicals for cement, bricks, glass, reinforced plastics, and machinery lubricants. The transition to sustainable operations would need significant research to boost the efficiency of the equipment involved. This sector has also placed significant emphasis on increasing the pace of operations, especially in developing countries, which are experiencing rapid improvement in their infrastructure.

Impact on the Bio-based Chemical Market

The global Bio-based chemical market size was calculated at USD 110.04 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 120.75 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 278.49 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 9.73% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, the launch of the module fabrication yard in the Philippines is expected to positively impact the bio-based chemical market. The world is moving towards clean and bio-fuels to reduce the carbon footprint and as an alternative to non-renewable fossil fuels.

The geopolitical tensions and disruption in global crude oil supply chains are expected to boost the adoption of biofuels as countries with no indigenous crude oil resources look to decrease their dependence on imports and make their local energy market more resilient. The next-generation module fabrication yard serves as a benchmark for the use of optimal technologies, equipment, and strategies to achieve futuristic goals. Such practices help the commercial incorporation of bio-based fuels.
