AKSI Aerospace Launches ‘Skyshipper’ Cargo Drone
AKSI Aerospace Group has moved a step ahead in the development of unmanned aerial logistics systems with the launch of its latest cargo drone platform ‘Skyshipper’ at Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad. This launch was made at the biennial civil aviation exhibition held from January 28 to 31, marking the increasing adoption of drone technology in industrial and commercial supply chains.

Launched by Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Skyshipper has been developed as an industry ready unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drones. This product is intended for commercial, medical and industrial logistics requirements. This drone has been developed by the company’s ‘Slatup Cargo’ division under its “Make in India” program. It features a multi rotor design capable of carrying up to 30kg payload with a maximum takeoff weight of approximately 52kg. It has fight endurance of up to 45 minutes making it suitable for medium range time sensitive missions in various industries.
Built with aerospace grade carbon fiber composites and precision engineered aluminum, the Skyshipper combines benefits of lightweight design and robustness for optimal performance in demanding conditions. As per AKSI, the UAV is equipped with its own KKA autopilot system which comes with logistics firmware and safety oriented features such as geo-fencing and dynamic load awareness limits.
At Wings India 2026, AKSI also demonstrated its capabilities in other areas, such as the ‘Skywing 90’, a high endurance quadcopter designed for reconnaissance and surveillance missions. This indicates the company’s interest in both civil and defense drone markets. The launch of AKSI’s Skyshipper marks a significant milestone in the development of Indian cargo drone market and aligns with the country’s strategic vision.
