SVL Biosciences Pvt. It was established by the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) and the Kalam Institute of Health Technology (KIHT), marking yet another significant advancement in India's medical technology landscape. LTD, as well as a brand new center for thermoforming technology. The introduction represents a substantial step toward independent production of high-precision medical components and diagnostic kits in India's biggest MedTech hub.

SVL Bioscience has established a cutting-edge clean room facility specifically to produce dengue rapid diagnostic kits, with plans to expand into a wider range of diagnostic solutions in the future. The healthcare industry will be able to respond to infectious disease outbreaks more quickly thanks to this initiative, which is expected to improve India's capacity to produce rapid, inexpensive, and accurate testing kits.
Furthermore, the Thermoforming Technology Center is built to facilitate the production of large enclosures and specialized medical parts for manufacturers of medical devices. By equipping local manufacturers with cutting-edge technologies and precision-engineering infrastructure, the center seeks to reduce India’s reliance on imported medical parts.
According to AMTZ Founder and MR Dr. Jitendra Sharma, these developments represent a shift from research to large-scale production, building an ecosystem that blends innovation, policy, and industrial growth. With over 160 companies now operating within AMTZ, including several global players, these new facilities will strengthen India's position as a global hub for affordable and high-quality MedTech innovation.
In the future, AMTZ and KiHT intend to integrate these facilities with international collaborations, skill development, and R&D to support end-to-end medical technology manufacturing. By 2030, it is anticipated that this integrated approach will accelerate India's progress toward becoming a $50 billion medical device industry, attract more startups, and boost exports.
Significant employment opportunities for skilled professionals in engineering, biotechnology, and materials science will also be created by the new initiatives, as AMTZ establishes itself as a hub for the study, training, and commercialization of cutting-edge medical technology solutions that can cater to both domestic and international markets by promoting local talent and entrepreneurship.
