In September 2026, CDF Corporation launched the Squiz system in North America, which is an automatic liner evacuation system for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). This system minimizes repeated and untracked loss of fluid during the manufacturing operations. A major share of this loss is from the final product residue that remains in the liner when an IBC is drained.

After the production of thick high viscosity products, some final product remains in each and every container when they are emptied. The pilot testing on thick cosmetic creams revealed that loss of final product decreased by 99 percent with the use of the Squiz system. This system makes use of a controlled winding mechanism, wherein it winds the liner from top to bottom during the process of dispensing. It maintains synchronization with the industrial motor and moves the fluid towards the dispense valve. It also comes with a form-fit liner to make it resilient to the mechanical forces involved in winding.

This system does not need any manual intervention because it features automatic pressure cutoffs and an emergency halt. It is placed on a stainless steel foundation with locking casters, allowing it to be used in various IBCs in the production facility without requiring installation infrastructure or an electrical connection. It was developed by Liquidpack S.L. of Onda, Spain, and is widely used for its manufacturing workflows in Europe. CDF Corporation will also present this system at PACK EXPO International, which will be held from 18th to 21st October at McCormick Place, Chicago, U.S., booth LU-6806 in the Reusable Packaging Pavilion.

Impact on the Machinery and Equipment Industry

According to Precedence Research, this launch would make manufacturing of high-viscosity specialty fluids more efficient, which might decrease their selling price. Many such fluids are corrosive and can damage exposed industrial machinery surfaces. The Squiz system will help to minimize this exposure and potentially suppress their degradation and extend their lifecycle. This might reduce the costs incurred by the manufacturers, which would allow small to mid-sized companies to produce such fluids. It might increase fragmentation in the market as more and more companies compete to gain a sizeable share.

Impact on the Specialty Chemicals Market

The global specialty chemicals market size is valued at USD 940.72 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 978.79 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 1,377.32 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 3.54% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, this launch will encourage chemical manufacturers across the industry to undertake manufacturing operations for thick specialty chemicals. Many manufacturers that conventionally have limited operations and manufacture just a few types of chemicals did not see high-viscosity, expensive chemicals as a profitable segment. It requires repeated maintenance and monitoring to ensure the residue has not exceeded safety limits or interfered with the operations of moving parts. The Squiz system will allow them to start manufacturing such fluids.

Impact on the Industrial Dispensing System and Equipment Market

The global industrial dispensing system and equipment market size was estimated at USD 22.20 billion in 2025 and is predicted to increase from USD 23.47 billion in 2026 to approximately USD 38.51 billion by 2035, expanding at a CAGR of 5.66% from 2026 to 2035.

According to Precedence Research, this introduction will modernize the industrial dispensing ecosystem. The Squiz system has relatively few competitors, and it has proven its capability in manufacturing operations in Europe. This might tempt other industrial machinery solutions providers to develop such systems and try to match or even exceed its efficiency. This might also boost research activities to develop integrated machines that have an inbuilt mechanism to remove the residual end product. The adoption of this system might be selective depending upon the actual real-world benefit it provides in the manufacturing operations of that particular chemical.

Expert Opinion

According to Joe Sullivan, President and CEO of CDF Corporation, the company is delighted to offer this unique system, which optimizes the drainage of fluids with high viscosity. He said that this system optimizes manufacturing workflow expenditures, as well as helps to decrease the amount of waste produced, which assists the producers in achieving their green and sustainability objectives.
