Next-Gen Internet: China Rolls Out Commercial 10G Broadband in Hebei

In Hebei province, China has formally launched the world's first commercial 10G broadband network, marking a significant milestone for next-generation connectivity. China Unicom, a state-owned carrier, and telecom equipment behemoth Huawei collaborated to carry out the rollout. With the launch, fixed-line internet infrastructure has undergone a major upgrade, resulting in broadband speeds that are significantly faster than the traditional gigabit standard. With download speeds approaching 10 gigabits per second and built on cutting-edge 50G Passive Optical Network (PON) technology, the new service completely redefines what high-speed internet means for homes and businesses.
The 10G network's performance capabilities are significantly better than those of current broadband services.
